PTE Academic is a computer-based English language academic test aimed at non-native English speakers who want to study abroad. It reads, writes, listens and tests speech. Questions often test two skills together, such as listening and reading or reading and speaking. The entire test is performed in one sitting, which lasts 3 hours and is taken in a safe test environment on the computer. The test speaker part is done on the computer. Your voice has been recorded and sent for marking. One of the benefits of this test is that you get your results very fast; in about 5 days. PTE academic is a multi-level test, such as IELTS, TOEFL and TOEIC.
